Alexandrine – a brand famous for glamorous red-carpet looks, intricate details with careful embroidering and handmade stitching - will showcase for the first time ever at SPFW43, where it will premiere in the prêt-à-porter universe with its collection Alexandrine by Batista Dinho by Dinho Batista.
The collection refers back the memories of the Pernambuco-born designer, who had in mind the energy and the beauty of contemporary women in order to create 30 looks that convey sophistication and sensuality.
The craftsmanship of artisanal work was the basis for fabric made of sateen lace and grosgrain on 0,50m X 1,00m panels weaved manually by the artisans of the Alexandrine Atelier. Warp and weft in different patterns result in fabrics that will render both light and voluminous sophisticated silhouettes; resulting in the collection Alexandrine by Batista Dinho.
Trapeze dresses, both long and mini, trousers, skirts and vests originate out of a subtle colour palette: white, grey, off-white, black and olive; the latter representing the holiness of olive oil. The tailor made pieces carry what is necessary for the everyday life of women, besides playing different roles while conveying femininity.
The best yet: part of the pieces of the collection Alexandrine by Batista Dinho showcased at SPFW43 will be available immediately after the show as part of “see now, buy now” calendar.
