On a boat ride through the jungle, former executive, hard-core traveler, Brazilian entrepreneur Marcia Kemp, fell in love with Peruvian Amazon – where she met a group of women.
They had amazing skills with natural fibers, and built their own grab bags, as well as super colorful accessories. Often they described themselves as Nannacay, which translated to “Hermandad de Mujeres” – SISTERHOOD. Marcia decided she had to spread that amazing work around the world, passing on those inspiring women’s energy, and helping them thrive. After two years, Nannacay is indeed doing that, and more artisans from Brazil and South America have been added to the team.
We also created the Nannacay Studio, where the Rio de Janeiro office and atelier are set – and where we gather like minded women. The Sisterhood feeling is stronger than ever, and we felt it was time to portray some of the Nannacay gatherings in our Campaign.
